Our Story

Water skiing is more than just a sport to us - it's a vital part of our lives that we deeply treasure. We are thrilled to announce that we have taken the reins of the Connelly legacy, specifically their renowned jump skis, to carry it forward into a bright future. To honor this legacy, we are proud to introduce the new name of this cherished line: LEGACY Skis.

Much like many of you, we have roots deeply embedded in water skiing and share a love for the sport. Our journey spans from skiing behind family boats, competing with the Rochester Waterski Team, and performing in multiple professional water ski shows. Our passion for water skiing is unparalleled. With LEGACY Skis, our mission is to uphold and continue the production of the beloved 3-event and show ski jumpers that have become staples in our community.

Rest assured, we are committed to maintaining the cutting-edge technology that Connelly has proudly utilized for so many years.

Where his Legacy Skis journey started?

Peter "Pete" Hegarty is an incredible skier, athlete, and role model within the show ski world. Known for his competitive edge and serious dedication to the craft, Pete brings intensity and precision to every jump. Off the water, he embodies humility and commitment, consistently giving back to the water ski community. Pete joined Legacy Skis in 2024, and we could not be more proud to support him in his water ski journey.
